  • 5th metatarsal is most common metatarsal to fracture.
  • Usually involves the base of the metatarsal.
  • Type of avulsion fracture.
  • Jones/ pseudojones fracture.
  • To be differentiated from apophysis at that level that shows longitudinally oriented lucency compared to the transverse fracture line.
